its starting to feel alot like christmas. its december 5th and i dont have my trees up and im going to struggle to get back to australia with enough  time to bake my christmas cakes this year .i saw this pic the other day and loved the way it was iced and it gave me renewed interest in just doing it. i 

realised i can just soak the hell out out of my fruit with rum and brandy and ice it this way. its different every year with my cakes. so this year i think our cakes will look like this.
